Traveling, POP Pilates, and new POPFLEX leggings?!

Haven’t posted in a while as I’ve been busy with finals, filming my POP eval video, and traveling to New York! But guess what? I passed!! *happy dance*

I received the email when I was sightseeing in New York and I was so happy! ๐Ÿ˜€ I can’t believe I passed, it’s such a great feeling. Now I need to study up on the full hour class (+5 tracks to the ones that I’ve studied for the eval video) so I can apply to places–I’m actually kind of entertaining the idea of doing outdoor POP at Magic Island, since I workout there almost every day XD lol. If anyone reads this and lives in Hawaii, lmk what you think! I’d love to do POP outside. I mean, they do so many other classes there (yoga, HIIT) I don’t think it’d be much of a problem

BTW Hawaii is launching its first POP Pilates classes at 24 hour fitness next weekend! Hope to see you there ๐Ÿ˜€

Btw, POPFLEX released a Limited Edition Pointe leggings in Mermaid!!! What?!! This happened while I was traveling around New York–during dinner and I was looking through my Instagram and saw it! Only 6 hours and the largest and smallest sizes were SOLD OUT. Isn’t that crazy? They’re so pretty too: You can click HERE to check ’em out. Sizes 4,6, and 8 are left! I just got mine in the mail and they’re gorgeous. ๐Ÿ˜€

Btw traveling and trying to do PIIT28 was so difficult. Since we were constantly on the go, and averaging about 8-10 miles of walking per day, my feet were so dead tired. I really couldn’t fit in a workout. While I did feel pretty bad about it, at least my body was moving around. It’s weird having that sort of “non-workout guilt” and I need to shake it off because I don’t think it was realistically possible for me to even try and fit in a workout while still enjoying my travels around NYC.



POPFLEX Pop Short Peony review

I’ve been waiting for them to restock since March and when I checked back in the beginning of May I was so surprised to see everything back in stock! So I rushed and bought myself a pair in Mermaid and Peony. You guys. The color of these shorts is so VIBRANT and beautiful! I love them and I can’t wait to work out in them.



I paired them with the BodyPop Peek-a-boo Peplum Top in Night, which is a super cute and girly top that definitely gives me some shape!ย This top is still on sale HERE! It has a built in bra, too, which is nice.


To go into more detail about the shorts:

  • POCKETS–pretty deep enough to hold my phone (iphone 6s)
  • as I said before, really vibrant and pretty colors
  • the length is also a bit longer than before, which I like, because I always worry about my butt poking out lol—really wouldn’t want anyone to see that–yikes!
  • I followed the size guideย and even though I’m usually a size Medium in shorts, went down to a size 6, as my Pointe leggings (size 8) were kind of baggy in the crotch area (see my other post for more details). I was so worried they’d be too tight, but when I pulled these on, they were perfect! And so comfy.
  • they pair really well with any solid tops, or the Swan or Goddess tops!

POPster meetup/Mermaid POP shorts review

Today was so much fun! I was able to meetup with some Hawaii POPsters to do a POPFLEX mermaid photoshoot at the Ko’olina ๐Ÿ™‚ One of the POPsters was sweet enough to get us all flower crowns:

Pop Short Mermaid-Review:
I just got these two pairs of shorts in the mail the other day, and they’re beautiful! What’s also interesting is that these are a little bit longer than the previous batch of Pop shorts, which I like, but shorter POPsters may not like…as it may pucker out on the sides, but since I have longer legs they don’t seem to do that. I really think they should put the length difference as an option that we can choose. One thing about the Mermaid shorts it that you MUST wear nude undies for this one–they’re pretty see-through.

I also followed the size guide and went down a size–I was a bit nervous to see how size 6 would fit, but they’re perfect! Not too tight or baggy at all. ๐Ÿ™‚ I LOVE the color, and they’re very comfy. I wore them at the photoshoot the entire time, along with practicing POP4 choreography, and not once did they ride up or anything. The pockets were also perfect to hold my phone and camera lens cap.

POPsters always have each other’s backs



I love how Blogilates has brought us all together. PIIT28 2.0?! Day 1 review


๐Ÿ˜ฎ Holy smokes, as if PIIT28 1.0 wasn’t hard enough, Cassey has outdone herself and made 2.0! I was so excited to get the e-mail and see everyone’s reactions on Instagram. She did mention single legged burpees, which made me pretty damn nervous. The pre-requisite is that you HAVE to have done PIIT 1.0 first, to prepare yourself for the craziness that is 2.0. After doing the first workout, 2.1 Amazing Arms, I’m gonna have to agree. It’s nuts! And challenging, but in the best way possible.

I’m also using the Blogilates Timer app. It’s great because it saves all the different workouts AND I can add cute little emojis XD It’s $1.99 in the Blogilates app, but I’ve been using it since PIIT 1.0 started, so I think it’s a worthwhile investment.

Day 1: 2.1 Amazing Arms

Most challenging moves:

  • reptile jumps (definitely felt it in my legs! and shoulders/abs as I held myself up)
  • single legged plank hops (yep, legs were burnin’)
  • double push-ups ย (arms! and shoulders)

to simply break it down, here’s how all four rounds were:

Round 1: “woohoo! let’s get this!” and went all out

Round 2: uh-oh, I can feel it now, losing steam lol

Round 3: second-wind of energy, especially during the push-ups, BEAST MODE ACTIVATE

Round 4: aaaaaaaaaaaaaah almost DONE!

Overall I loved it, because there were new moves that challenged my body to push itself as hard as it could. I’m definitely going to feel it tomorrow!
